Hi All.
This is my first post. I am ADDICTED to this site! I have been using Wilton cake release for years, but was wondering if anyone has used the sprays with flour in them?
Any thoughts?

I've never used the cake release. I use the Pillsbury Crisco spray. It's the blue can. I've never had problems sticking with it. I just wish they sold it in bigger cans!

I have used both the Pillsbury and Pam for baking-either one is good. I agree with Sweetpeeps-wish the cans were bigger!

BTW-Welcome to the posting world-it's downhill for you now. You thought you were addicted before!

Welcome to CC! I have used Bakers Joy spray with flour and it does great for me. Never had a cake stick to the pan. I usually use a butter knife to go around the edges while the cake is still in the pan and when it has cooled for the 10 minutes, I turn it onto my cooling rack and it is always perfect! I love Bakers Joy! I went to the grocery store the other day and I needed some, but when I looked I saw they were out! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Oh well. Don't have any cakes to make right now so I will just get some more when I go back. icon_wink.gif By the way, I do make sure I spray really good-not too much, but enough to cover the pan really good-you can tell if you've missed a spot. thumbs_up.gif

I use a made-from-scratch cake grease/release. It is so easy, and much cheaper than Wilton's Cake Release! I've used it for years, and LOVE it!! Never had one cake stick. I also use it for brownies and any kind of bar cookie.

EQUAL PARTS: 1.Crisco (white, or I use the Butter-flavored sticks) 2. Vegetable oil 3. AP Flour

One of the best tips I've received!!! Lindsay icon_smile.gif

I don't use the sprays but I really do like CK Products Pan Grease, I buy it from Global Sugar Arts.

I also make my own pan release cheap............1 cup flour, 1 cup oil, 1 cup crisco shortning mix all in mixer for a few minutes works great on highly detailed pans.
