When I was at the Oklahoma Sugar Art show I won a box of PME tools and items. I got 2 different kinds of garrett frill cutters. Can anyone tell me what to use them for or even better show me a picture?

I googled garrett frill cutters and found a web site that shows some cakes with ruffles on them made with these cutters, but I couldn't get them to paste to this post. Give it a try.
They look like something I may have to invest in. Lucky you!! Be sure to show us when you use them.

Garret frill cutters are used to make a ruffle or anything you want a scalloped edge - often a curved scalloped edge. These are on my wish list!!

The ruffles on the ballerina's tutu in my photos is made with a garrett frill cutter. I love mine and use it a lot. Enjoy yours!

I use them a lot. Simply roll your fondant and cut out. Make sure you have plenty of icing sugar underneath the edge and slowly work your way around the frill with a toothpick (or I use the handle of a thin paintbrush) roll it backwards and forwards around the edge and it will 'frill' when you get back to your starting point cut through so you can open the frill out and stick it to your cake with a little cooled boiled water along the top edge. Sometimes I use 2 or 3 . I'll put a coloured frill under a white one or sometimes I'll brush just the edge with a little luster dust
