I was trying to jam 10 pounds of cake in a 2 pound box..lol

and as always in a hurry to get it to the delivery guy.

I ended up smooshing a side of the fondant "HILL" icon_wink.gif

so...I flip open the box and with my hand...( I know..gasp! icon_surprised.gif ) I smoosh the other "HILL" so they are even...not really noticible, but..mz. perfection here..lol

so..cake gone..

I sit down and grab my coffee and for some reason I wave my hand in front of my face and I jump out of my seat..

OH NO! I have to call the HEALTH DEPARTMENT!! I have broken out in some kind of disease!

Some kind of POX!?

Black DOTS all over my hand.....!?!?!?

Oh, yeah....whew.....the cake was covered in little black polka dots that I had drawn with the edible marker..

Duh icon_razz.gif

Felt really stupid...

Glad nobody knows...heeee icon_lol.gif

cake pox (kayk pox) n. -- common affliction of cake decorators and artisans. Easily identified by random dots of color appearing upon the skin and also in hair. Can vary in size from small dots to large splotches. Has been know to infect family members, including even pets (curious cats and noisy dogs most susceptible) According to some sources, it is probably some kind of mold as it can also grow on clothes, floors, windows, walls, cabinets and appliances. Easily cured by application soap and water, although certain colors may linger for days.

Not to be confused with cakezema, which can be identified by crusty patches of dried on cake batter, usually on wrists, but may also be found on other areas of skin generally left uncovered while baking.
