I desperately need ideas for a reception cake. The couple was married by a justice of the peace and their friend is now throwing them a reception. The only requirements for the cake is that it feeds approx 60 people and that it has something to do with ultimate frisbee or just a frisbee. It seems the couple met while playing. I haven't been doing this as a part time business long and I need help with ideas and what to charge.

Can anyone please help??

could you do a three tiered cake and make people out of fondant and gumpaste have them on different levels of the cake acting as if they are playing with a frisbee?

gee that would be a hard one for me. How about a quarter sheet or half sheet with a carved disc on the top? Those discs come in tons of colours and you could make it one the couple like. Where there is writing around the disc you could put their names, dates and where they met or something like that. Good luck, I'm dying to see the finished cake!

I was thinking of a HUGE round cake (not sure what the biggest pan size is? maybe 16") with the top looking like the logo of a famous frisbee maker.

But the 3 tiered with the frisbee players is a GREAT idea.

Ultimate frisbee is a game played on a large field with two teams.

Here's a link:

You could do a field with a bride and groom playing.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, but I'm looking for something a little more "out there." This is the first cake that I'm free to do whatever I want as long as it has a "frisbee" theme to it. I've been thinking of doing maybe a topsy turvy cake with the top layer carved to look like a frisbee. Does that sound stupid? Can anyone else give me some ideas? This cake is due on the 9th. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I would like to see the end result of your cake. I have a lot of friends who are into ultimate but we play disc golf. Good luck!
