I was trying out the Mexican Vanilla Kaluaha Cake Recipe by pinkbox from the homepage. I baked it, cooled it, made a mocha buttercream frosting and everything was going great. The cake smelled awsome and the frosting came out great. As I was smoothing the icing, coming around the last corner, the cake went flying on the floor! ARRRGGG! 
My dog was so shocked, she didn't even try to get a bite!
So, out comes the mixer, the cake mix and the Kaluaha and here we go again! Tempted to drink the Kaluaha instead of adding it to the cake! It wasn't for anything special, just wanted to test the recipe out. I am going to bring it to work tomorrow to see what they think of it. DH doesn't want it at home, says he is getting too fat. (he just has a small pooch!) Wish I had the same problem...oh well, off topic.
So cake is in the oven, have to make another frosting batch and try again. I have to say, the little I was able to try, was moist and yummy! Think it will be a hit at work!

Maybe I will have some of that Kaluaha after all... 
Finally...the cake is baked, iced, decorated and in the fridge. My co-workers will be so happy tomorrow...SUGAR HIGH!
