I am in my first semester of culinary school for baking/pastry and something I have really enjoyed is learning about the health benefits of dark chocolate! I thought some of you would enjoy reading this article too!

http://www.webmd.com/content/Article/73/81921.htm?pagenumber=1

Dark chocolates eaten without dairy (milk) have tons of flavanoids and antioxidants!! More than prunes! Antioxidants attack free radicals in your body!

Eat a chocolate with atleast 50% cocoa content or higher!

The reason people associate chocolate bars with being unhealthy is because usually chocolate bars are 60% sugar and 40% cocoa...but a 60% cocoa chocolate bar with 40% cocoa is great!

The day we learned this, I got home and a Nestle Chocolatier commercial came on for their new chocolates...they said enjoy our delicious dark chocolate with a tall glass of MILK..and I thought NOOO!

Anyway, I'm rambling! EAT DARK CHOCOLATE AND DONT FEEL GUILTY!

YAY!

Dark chocolate is a little slice of heaven. Good to know it's healthy as well.

Best of luck in culinary school!
