Does anyone own an air purifier? If so, what has been your experience with it? What brand did you buy? Is there anything you dislike about it? What was the price range? Is there a maintenance cost (i.e. filter replacement, etc)? How long have you had yours? Where did you buy it from?

We live in a small apartment and I would like something to combat seasonal and pet allergens. We are non-smokers, so that really doesn't factor into the choice. The room that we would be using it is roughly 200 square feet.

I appreciate any responses/suggestions.

I have a Better Living air purifier and love it. Got it on Ebay for less than half the price icon_surprised.gif I had an Alpine a few years back and it work wonderfully also.

The only upkeep is cleaing the plates each week. And if you are careful with them they will last for years.

As for the size you would need, that I'm not sure about. I would go to the website for Better Living or Alpine to check that out then get on Ebay and shop around. HTH K'ly

there's a class action lawsuit against those sold through Sharper Image, they didn't do what they claimed. It was the Ionic Breeze model. They seller tried to sue for the bad ratings and lost. Now, the buyers are trying to get their money back.

Go to the library and check the ratings in Consumer Reports.

I've always been a little leary of The Sharper Image. They are soooo expensive. JMO K'ly
