So Frustrated, One Of The Cakes In My Favs Disappered!

Hi,
The other day when I was looking at photos in my favorites I noticed that one of the cake photos was missing! Now it would not have been a big deal except that it was the cake I planned to design my big brothers 19th b-day cake after! Fortunately it was a farely simple design and I remember it pretty well, (It was Appalachian State themed and had a big A on top and dots around the base in App's colors)but still it was so tastfully done and the colors were dead on. My sister-in-law thinks maybe the person who uploaded it deleted from the website so I guess that what happened. Has any one else ever had this happen to them?

Sorry, it sounds like that's what happened. I've deleted some of my older cakes before, when I stopped liking them. I didn't realize that it would vanish from the files of people who had saved them. Hmmmm...
Anyway, maybe the person whose cake you are looking for will see your post and send it to you. Good luck!

I've started kind of filing them away on my hard drive. I was looking for a shower cake idea so I took all the shower cakes from my fave's and put them in a folder on my hard drive. Eventually I'll probably get the others stored that way as well. It was more for organizational purposes than anything else. I save the pic with the author's name so that I can give credit if I should use one of the photos for inspiration.
I believe you can delete your own photos if they have fewer than 5 'Favorites'. It's too bad when people delete them because just this kind of thing happens -- even if only a couple of people have added it to their favorites, it's because they really like it and would like to refer to it. And poof it's gone. 
I have deleted one of my own photographs that had Mickey Mouse on it and people kept writing to me and asking for the photo and it was making me uncomfortable due to possible copyright issues from "Big D". Otherwise I leave them all there, the good, the bad, and the ugly. 
I had to delete a few because of some "un forseen circumstances" and felt terrible about it. If I save a photo into my favs and it's an OMG CAKE! I save it into my inspiration folder on my computer. It can never disapear from in there. I definitaly recommend doing that for you favorite FAVORITE cakes.
You can't delete them from the website when they have even one favorite. I know, 'cause I tried.
Something else must have happened.
The threshold is 5 saves. If you were having trouble deleting with less than 5 saves, then the problem was something else.
Also, there are times when photos with more than 5 saves are deleted, if we are sent a request by the photo owner.
