I would like to know how much MMF I should make to cover a large 3-d cake. My measurements are about 25x23 plus an extra few inches. I have looked at the wilton chart and wondering what does a batch of MMF make in weight?
Also for a newbie is this gonna be difficult to roll out that large of a piece(any tips)? I just bought a large piece of vinyl to roll it on!

Thanks

Fondant, in my opinion needs to be practiced with....if you roll too thin then it will be almost impossible to cover the cake but if you get it to thick it will break. You probably need to practice with it also...it took me a good 5 or 6 times making MMF to learn how to make it correctly.

Good luck with your fun adventure!! You will love working with fondant!! ;D

Thanks Christi(btw I am excited about Halloween too!)

I have made mmf about three times, but yes I am still working on it and do love the results. So this too will be more practice for me!

I have the time tonight to make the mmf. I would like to know how much to make so I can do it all at once and get it colored orange while I am making it.

Thanks
