Totall Ot: I Have A Really Dumb Question About Concert Seats
Lounge By CakeDiva73 Updated 3 Nov 2006 , 8:49pm by CakeDiva73
I have a feeling this is a really stupid question but, I just got tickets for my kids and I to go to this concert and they had just opened the website and I was rushing so I wouldn't get locked out.....I got tickets in row 5 but they start counting rows from the bottom and go up, right? So, row 5 should be closer to the floor and then they go higher? The seating diagram didn't specify rows so i wasn't sure.
I am asking because I didn't press this little web button that said 'best seating' and it assigned my these....I was one of the first people to order so I am guessing that they assign the better seats ( withing the $ class you have chosen) on a first come - first serve basis, right?
Can you tell I don't go to concerts very often?Sorry to bother you about something so completely O.T. but I figure there have got to be some concert people out there that will laugh at me and then clear things up!
thanks.....
Usually tickets will indicate where they are located, floor, balcony, mezzanine. Do yours say anything like that? There is probably a row 5 in all of those selections.
Can you call the venue and ask?

Sometimes an orchestra pit has temporary seating and uses letters and then the regular seat rows are numbered. Also being in the middle in row 10 is better than row 5 on the far outside edge aisles. Row number and seat designation are important as a combined designation.
Thanks for your help. Their customer service line has been busy for an hour so I will have to try again later.... these are in a decent section - row 5 - seats 7 thru 11 so I think I am ok. I was also thinking that I didn't want to be on the edge because it is so destracting....these are for 'High School Musical' and I am going to surprise my 4 kids so I am so excited!
Thanks again ![]()
