I made the one with whipped cream and crushed oreo's. We all really liked it a lot. It does ooze a bit, so make sure you make a good BC damn first. Once it's chilled in the cake it's fine for cutting. It's SO good, I could sit and eat a bowl of it.

I also love the whipping cream and crushed oreo cookies recipe.
I can eat it just plain too.

I just crushed the oreos and added them to my BC icing. The partygoers loved it!!! And it tasted great right from the bowl!

Whimsical Bakehouse Cookies and Cream Filling:

In the bowl of an electric mixer at high speed, whip until stiff:

2 1/2 cups heavy cream (whipping cream - 35%)
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar (icing sugar)

Gently fold in:

20 Oreos, crushed into medium pieces.

Yield: 6 cups

I don't know if this would be to thick or not. It's actually a recipe for truffles. It has oreo cookies, cream cheese and a little bit of powdered sugar in it. I think it sounds scrumptios, but it might be to thick for a filling. I guess a little bit of milk could be added to thin it down. I love cream cheese!!! Anyway, just a thought.

No problem - use it all the time! My DH eats the leftovers right out of the bowl .... it's goooood stuff! The longer it sits the softer the oreos get and IMO the better it tastes!

Have fun!

So making the filling the night before actually filling the cake will make it tastier?

I think so ... but I like the softer filling verses the crunchy oreos. Either way it's great.
