Okay, never done a sheet cake but will be soon. What I am wondering is what are the "real" sheet cake sizes, like what is a 1/4 sheet, 1/2 and whole sheet cake officially? I'm confused b/c they sell pans at 11x15 and 12x18. just wondering....

I think there's another thread about this around here somewhere; but here is what I've gotten from other posts:

9x13= 1/4 sheet

12x18 or (2) 9x13= 1/2 sheet

11x15= 1/3 sheet

18x26 or (4) 9x13= full sheet

I've been meaning to ask this very question. There is so much to learn!
