there will be gaps......that's just the nature of pushing round objects next to eachother......use the large frosting tip that's made to ice cakes and frost over them all....you can stick a small dab of frosting underneath the cupcakes to help keep them in place.....or you can stick the cupcakes on a sheet of styrofoam and stick toothpicks in the foam and stick the bottom of each cupcake down over the toothpick securing them in place (also helps with the delivering of them) and then just ice over them all...when they take away each cupcake there will be excess icing ......but who doesn't love that??

Stagger the cupcakes so they fit in between. There shouldn't be very big gaps. The icing won't fall through.

I've made several. Just be very generous when laying on the icing. lol It's amazing to then see it all come together. Don't forget to post a picture!
