This pan calls for a pound cake consistency cake mix. I already have white, chocolate and strawberry cake (DH) mixes. Would one of these work or should I buy a pound cake. What else would suffice?

I've used it before with a cake mix but I make it more firm by adding an additonal egg and 1 box of instant pudding mix.

I don't know how firm is DH... I usually use either Pillsbury or Betty Crocker.. again I add one more egg and 1 box of instant pudding...

Thanks. So is that a total of 3 eggs or 4?

It depends what the recipe on your box calls for. If it calls for 3 eggs, then add one more, etc...

There is a recipe inside the DH cake box it is for wedding cake and 3-d pans, I made this when I did the 3-d pan but the cake was dry
