Hi all i have a order for 250 cupcakes for a wedding in Nov she is wanting fall colors, burnt oranges , browns , Yellows, how do i get a good burnt orange color and she also wants there inital H done it fall colors to put on these cupcakes now how long in advance should i make the initals i was going to do them in 50/50 or would you do them in fondant only or gumpaste only?? and do you think the colors will fade it i make them, to early?? Thanks to all

50/50 sounds good to me, and I think you can start making the initials, from what I've used fondant and gp they last a long time.

Do you think the colors will fade?? thats what im worred about

If you keep them out of the light they will be fine.

Also if you use the powder color rather than the gel paste, the colors will stay brighter and truer to the original color. Powder colors do not fade anywhere near as quickly as the gel paste. icon_wink.gif

Where can i get the powder kind and how much do you use sound great to me ,

I get mine at my local cake supply store. It is also the same color that you would use for gumpaste flowers. Not luster dust, but petal dust.
