Ok, so here is mine. I thought it was super cute and I loved the monogram I did. I got one comment and 1 fav and as of today (this moment) only 31 views. I was sort of bumbed but, I guess if you've seen one polka dot cake you've seen 'em all.

Wow! Once again I am shocked by all of the awesome cakes that I did not get to see their first time around. I am glad they're being showcased here.

I just posted one today. I worked really hard on it and am proud of it. I'd hoped it'd be on the home page long enough to get some attention, but it was kind of quick on and quick off. This was my first attempt at a ccc. I think it came out well. I was proud. Thanks for all the advice in previous threads.

I uploaded this one on Saturday and it just flew through the Recently Uploaded Cakes on the front page without really having a chance of being noticed. I was a bid disappointed because I think it is possibly my best cake to date and I am very happy with the way it turned out.

This cake is one of my favorites I think. I thought it might get some great comments and lots of views. I've had only a few of each. There are three pictures to get the full effect because it is a double sided castle. One side was decorated for my neice who wanted an orange princess castle and the other side is a knight castle because I thought my nephew should have a more boyish cake. They had a joint party and my sister wanted only one cake. I thought I was being very clever here. I was pleased with how this cake turned out. Thanks so much for looking!

One thing I love about this thread is, as I view your cakes that I missed when they were on the home page, I realize that GREAT cakes are missed and I shouldn't feel like little/no comments and/or views are necessarily indicative of the quality of my work. Maybe some of my cakes could also be called great (or at least good ) and they were just passed by. Please keep these coming. I am getting so much inspiration!

I agree with Jadak -- I love this thread because I get to see things I missed when they passed through the gallery. I tried to view the "uncommented pictures" listing, but I am "not authorized" to see that. This thread is a great resource to us newbies.

I bake cakes. I bake tasty cakes. And now I am LEARNING to decorate them. Often what I see in my head gets lost on its way down my arm and out the piping bag. So I understand my no-comments or few views and I am ok with that.

I sold this for $30. What should I have sold it for, or was that alright? I have so much fun, I almost only charge people enough to cover my rent and supplies!

I dont think there is enough room here to post mine, none of them have had much notice, but as I have said before, I don't mind no comments as long as people look. There is some fabulous talent on CC & really nice people, I am sure there are a lot of folks who do like our cakes, but it is not always possible to comment, like my computer is not very co-operative sometimes & either goes on a dead slow strike or kicks me out. I think everyone here has done some wonderful work. I love to look.
