[size=18]I'm having problems with my roses made out of royal icing sliding off of my cupcakes when I put them onto the cupcake bouquet. First, I put a thin coat of buttercream icing down before I decorate with the royal icing. Should I wait for the buttercream icing to dry before I start decorating with the royal icing? Or, should I just use the royal icing and forget about the thin layer of buttercream?

Does anyone have any advice? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Michelle

I've actually been piping the RI roses right onto the cupcakes.
