I was asked to do a beer bottle cake for a man turning 30 that works at the Budweiser plant. They want a bottle shaped cake , but need it to feed 40 people. Please help. I know how to do the bottle, just don't know how to make it big enough without looking stupid and losing its shape. Any ideas would be so appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Maybe you could carve the bottle and put it on a half sheet cake? Just a thought. Then you'd have plenty of cake and the bottle wouldn't look distorted.

carriepeck,

Good Morning.

I think if you take either a 8 inc or 10 inch round cake pans cut them in half and then carve it from there it should take its shape. I could visualized it better sorry. I hope this helps.

Here is a cake done by a fellow ccer. It looks like this may be the way to go to achieve the size and look you are going for. Good Luck!

Here is also a full search of "beer cakes" from the cc gallery. I am sure you will find inspiration within these pages.
