Does anyone know where I can find a brick impression mat? I am kind of crunched for time, so won't be able to order off of the internet........ is this something that I can find at Hobby Lobby?

You might find one at a local cake decorating store but I have never seen them in Michael's or Hobby Lobby where I live. Even my local cake decorating stores don't have them so I had to order from the Internet. Hope this helps.

I got mine from Michael's craft store, so I imagine that Hobby Lobby would carry them too. They are with the polymer clay stuff. There are lots of clay tools, cutters and such in that section that work great for fondant stuff (and cheaper than Wilton in most cases- i.e. the star, oval and square cutters)

Good luck!!!

I was just at ACMOORE and saw in the doll house isle, a sheet that would go on the side of the doll house and thought that it would be great for that, to work on fondant. One side was painted, so I don't think that you would be able to use that side, but the other side was just the plastic. WHat I liked about it was that it was a big sheet. Bigger than printer paper, so that you have less aligning to do. I hope this helps. Other than that you can try looking in the section of clay in the craft store. I bought some thier but they were really small about 4" x 6" sheets and they are a pain ing the butt. The doll house sheet had lots of different patterns, like ceiling ones, brick, stone, textured ceiling,.... It was really nice. I am gooing tomorow to get some I will post here so you can see what they look like. I hope this helped some.

Thank you all for that information. I have searched high and low for impression mats and always looked in the cake section. I never thought to look in the clay section. Now, I can use my half price coupons tomorrow. Thank you!!

Oh, one more thing...they come in a pack of 4, so be sure to look at the packaging to make sure the brick one is in there. I think I have seen two "sets" of impression mats....

Can you imagine how mad you would be if you got home with the wrong pack on a time crunch? You could HURT people! I know I would!!! Make sure you let us know how the cake turns out!!
