I am making a stripper cake with poles that are pieces of dowling covered with fondant. I was so eager to make the girls I forgot to color the fondant and now have the strippers wrapped around them and all is dry. How can I get some color on the poles? I had planned on putting silver on but the Michaels here dosen't handle it. Suggestions please.
Thanks in advance.
I'd say edible marker, or food color and lemon extract. May get a little sticky but it will be colored. Good luck!!!
I've added touches of color to fondant once on the cake. I use vanilla flavored vodka (I think the taste of plain vodka comes through and it's yucky!). Mix with small amount Wilton paste coloring. It can get sticky if it gets too wet- use as little as possible- the color will be transparent, but it will be colored! Good luck!
