I am wanting to learn how to make cookies like the ones I've seen on here. However, I don't know where to start. I already make cakes, I don't know if that will help any. But I wanting to try something new. Can anyone give me advice on where to start?? Thanks in advance.

In the recipe section, there is a great sugar cookie called No Fail Sugar Cookie (NFSC) I would recommend starting with that.

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2055-No-Fail-Sugar-Cookies.html

many use Antonia74's Royal Icing to flood and decorate

some use Toba's Glace (i prefer this one)

http://www.cakecentral.com/cake_recipe-2119-Toba-Garretts-Glace-Icing.html

And there is a tutorial on here about how to cut, bake and decorate the cookies

Hope that Helps thumbs_up.gif

In addition to the above, some more links you may find helpful are:

www.karenscookies.net (has some great tutorials)

and

www.youtube.com (search on 'cookies' and you will get a ton of tutorials)

Have fun!
