Hi there ~

I've got a broken foot and orders to stay off it, so I've spent a LOT of time at CC recently ~ I have license to gawk at cakes haha!!! I'm learning so much by reading forums and I've made it my mission to see all 113,000 photos ~ well, that's my rough estimate

As I scan pages of thumbnails (there would never be enough time to fully open every photo, plus I slow down my computer enough as it is with thumbnails!), I'm just in awe of the level of talent here at CC ~ so many cakes are technical jaw-droppers and others so creative that it's mind-boggling.

I check back to the home page a lot because I love the All-Time Popular Cake Photos feature. I've seen amazing cakes that I otherwise might have missed, and I've added a lot of CC artists to my cake-stalker "must see" lists.

There have been several recent threads from people frustrated and with hurt feelings because their cake didn't get more attention here, especially after hours and hours of loving devotion in creating it. In some cases, I think the cake didn't get so much notice because it was posted in what I assume to be a less-seen gallery. As I'm working my way through the galleries here I too have seen cakes that, in my opinion, seem to not have gotten the notice they deserved. So below I'm listing links to SOME of those I realized I'd gone over 20 and figured I'd better stop there lol.

Now my disclaimer: I don't know any of these cakemakers ~ I just greatly admire their work. I have no way to know if any of these cakes are duplicated from another done previously ~ I just hope people give credit where credit is due. It never fails that if I return to a page I'll see a cake that didn't catch my eye on the first pass, and sometimes it's hard to make out what appears to be a very cool cake because the photo is dark or fuzzy. I generally pass on all licensed characters and Wilton designs ~ Dora, Elmo, Barbie, Sponge Bob and friends ~ and castles, pirouline cakes, trains no doubt I'm missing some great cakes, but I can't see them all, and they simply dont fall into my own areas of interest.

Sorry to hear about your foot! But I really enjoyed looking at the pictures you shared! I always try to watch the galleries while on the forums, to add comments--but you're right--it's really hard to catch them all! There is so much talent here, and I love looking at cake pictures! (Of course!)

Thanks for sharing those links! I got to see some great cakes that I'd probably not have seen otherwise. I know when I start looking through the galleries I often get overwhelmed...too much to look at! Thanks!

Ouch!!! sry to hear about the foot, and I complained about a stubbed to??????? Thanks for sharing the links. I always try also to comment on the pics. If I can't sleep at night, this is where I'm at..I'm sure nobody else wonders on CC during the middle of the night .
