I opened my private messages to find a pm titled "Sugar Craft Supply from VietNam" sent to me by a brand new member with one post total. It is an "introduction about his (?) company and what they can supply me.

I really don't want my pm used like this, is there a rule and what do I do about it? icon_mad.gif

You definitely should send a PM to Heath and/or Jackie.

I saw this person's post, which seemed an awfully lot like an ad, although they claimed to just be asking for help finding an importer in the US.

FYI - I got the exact same thing in my BUSINESS email this morning. The only place they could have found it was on here, or from one of my business cards given to customers (unlikely in Vietnam!). So, just be aware they are still out there with CCer's infomation!

Not only is is Spam, but it also sounds like Phishing to me. The first thing they will get is your proper e-mail address - with the right program, worm, or virus, they can monitor your e-mail and online purchase action until they get a checking account or credit card number.

There have been lots of reports of identity theft based upon having someone's e'mail address.

Therefore I never even open unsolicited e-mails.

Aaah yes, lovely, lovely Anton. I adore him! They'd better give him someone decent this year on Strictly, it's about time he won! I started ballroom dancing classes because of my Anton obsession, and I begin my second (silver) year on the 16th Sept - I can't wait, I love it so much that I already own 4 pairs of beautiful ballroom dance shoes icon_redface.gificon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif ! ! I've told my OH that for my 40th birthday I want a dance class with Anton as my gift - so he's got just over 4 years to save up now icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif !

I sent a few emails back and forth with this company and they refuse to recognize their actions as spam and basically I get the idea that they are going to continue to try and pull this stuff. They made it clear they will continue to register new usernames from new IP addresses. And since they are in Vietnam, they basically don't care if we threaten legal action.

We will do the best we can to prevent this activity, including reporting their spamming activity to their webhost.
