Okay all you helpful people... I made a wedding cake last weekend that they ordered totally last minute. ?It was a 6", 8", and 12" round. They wanted it covered in fondant so I used store bought. And she ordered royal icing daisies so I quickly made a bunch. Turned out quite nice actually! How much would you charge?

Charge by the slice, then add another $ per slice for fondant. Then charge for your flowers. Charge per flower or you may want to charge one price for all the flowers.

from scratch? fillings or just bc?

without knowing your personal skill level, market, ingredient cost and time spent, i dont know for sure what to suggest.

for myself, i would charge by the serving. 90x3 minimum....$270. possibly $4 pp. i bake from scratch and include fresh fillings, use all butter bc or smbc and satin ice fondant.

Well I don't know what you'd rate myskill level either!b Probably not very high as I haven't done much with fondant yet. And I just took classes recently so I'm definitely a novice. But she wanted to cut corners where she could so I just used mixes and no filling. But get this! She only wanted to spend $150 and she wanted me to do 8", 12", and 16" rounds covered in fondant!!!

Ouch $150 for 96 servings? That's only $1.56 per serving - way, way, way too low for a fondant cake with handmade flowers! Personally, I'd have gone with at least $3.50 per serving for what you described - so that would be $288. Now, if it had been one of my scratch cakes with fillings and a last minute cake at that, she'd be looking at closer to $450! Didn't you discuss price first - or did you just get paid $150?

Well like i said she ordered last minute so I took down what she wanted and what she wanted to pay and called her back and said that it couldn't be done for that price.
