Hello ladies, I am just new to this site and to cake decorating, I was just wondering if anyway would be able to help me with what size pans I would need to make a smallish 2 tier cake for my daughters birthday, Thankyou

I'm making some small two tiers for a birthday too, and I've picked a 6X2 for the bottom tier and a 4X2 for the top tier. We've all seen this combo and the dimensions are aesthetically pleasing, thus common and a good choice when you're unsure icon_smile.gif Good luck!

I also like a 6" on a 10". It has a nice proportion, but serves about 48 when cut right. If this is too many servings, then an 8" or 6" looks cute with the 4" on top.
