Hello!
I'm a very newbie here!! I've been lurking a while and so far I am totally addicted!! I just finished my wilton 1 class and the second class starts next week.

I want to make a 'stacked' cake, just a small round right on top of a larger round. Do I just ice it with BC then plunk the other one on top? Or do I put one on top of the other then ice??

I'm clueless! Any tips would be great! Thanks!

ice first then plunk...

you might need some dowels or straws in the bottom cake to support the top cake's weight.

Ice them seperately and then set them on one another. make sure you dowel the bottom cake and use a separator plate so the top cake doesn't sink into the bottom cake.

Thanks!!

I'm guessing though that I'd ice the top cake once it's on no?? Thanks again!

I would ice it before you set it on top or else you might muck up the icing on the bottom cake. put the top cake on a cake board that is the exact same size as the cake (you will likely need to "customize" a board) ice the top cake and the bottom cake seperately, then place the top cake on the bottom cake and voila!!
