I'm making my first attempt at fondant people... what should I use for "glue" to hold the hair on, the feet, etc?? I"m assuming it will dry fairly hard???

mix your fondant with some gum tragacanth, tylose powder, gum-tex, or gumpaste for faster hardening, more flexibility in your modeling medium and more resilient hardening. To make glue you can mix one of the above mentioned gums with water and let is sit in the fridge over night to form a sticky paste. Also you can dissolve a peice of gumpaste of fondant in water to form a sticky gum glue as well.

tylose powder would be purchased at a cake supply store. If you cant find it locally, it can be purchased at online cake supply stores.

ETA: I'm pretty sure gum-tex will do the same thing. that can be purchased where wilton supplies are sold.
