okay I am new to this whole cake thing...and i have successfully frozen several smaller cakes...but what are your tips for freezing a larger sheet type cake....I am afraid as I move it around to get it covered that I will crack or break it.

thanks

Hollie

I use 2 cake boards to flip it around and avoid cracking and breaking. also, make sure it is thoroughly cooled before attempting to wrap. I recently did a very delicate cake that was 12x18 and had no problems. I wrapped it on one layer of plastic wrap and threw it into the freezer. After a couple hours I did a second layer and then some foil and freezer paper. Once it was initally frozen the other layers of wrap were totally stress free.
