Can you be a little more descriptive? I am not sure of what you are talking about. Are you saying you want a cake with ribbon and bows? Or do you want a charm cake?

I have seen a few of these also. Check out this link.

You live in New York so hopefully you should be able to find someplace that carries them, if it was me I would never be able to pull it off by Friday since I live in the hicks.

Good luck.

Try typing in Charm Cake in the "search" place at the top left hand side of the page. Near the bottom of the page is a thread about a Christmas Charm Cake. Hope this helps.

There is a cake on this website that I saw. I typed in bridal shower. Its a picture of an umbrella with little gift boxes(which is cake also) and each one of them has a charm attached. I think it is adorable. Let me know if you can't find it and I will e-mail it to you.

You are very creative and your cakes are awesome, you'll be fine. Just get some charms from your local craft store and tie different color ribbons onto them. Once you have figured out the cake you are going to make, design as usualy and at the end use a skewer to stick the charms into the cake. The charm gets pushed in and the ribbon sticks out. This is done all around the cake and then at the event different people pull the charms out....

The cake design can be anything....

I know this may sound kind of stupid, but you could print out various pictures (Google Image search for Charm Cakes) and show them to her and ask her if this is what she is interested in. Explain to her that you are willing to fill her order and request but you are sorry and embarassed to admit you've never done one before. Or that you just need to know EXACTLY what she is looking for with this and you could fudge it a bit and tell her that you've seen them done so many different ways you just need to know how SHE wants it done. icon_smile.gif Hope this helps and good luck hun!

you're going to go to www.riogrande.com or www.firemountaingems.com and order the charms overnight. Make your customer pay for that expense, of course. Then you're going to tie a ribbon to the charms, put them on a cake board, and put your fabulous cake on top. You need to order the charms right away, but you can pull it off.

I run a bridal accessories business and have dealt with both of these companies regularly. Rio Grande in particular is always very fast and accurate, and has good prices (for the quantities you want). It would be easier to order if you already had the catalogs... but the phone operators are helpful and should be able to get you what you need.

Personnaly if the client wanted the cake with charms she needs to get the charms to you. I don't furnish the charms but I have done the decorations on the cake to include them.

The charm cakes I have seen basically have charms on a ribbon. Ica a cake aplace charm on the cake board. Place cake on top of charms. They pull the charms to reveal what they have. Hope this helps.
Also depending on the charms be sure to check the lead content. Most charms are made without lead but some companies still sell them with amounts of lead in them.
