Help.....fox Cake?!!?

Please help.....
My four year old nephew is adamant that he wants a "fox" cake for his birthday! icon_eek.gif I have no clue where to start!!!!
Any advice or ideas greatly appreciated!!!!!!

you can click on gallery on top and type "fox" in search. I'm sure there are a bunch of cakes with foxes on them. goodluck & welcome to CC. You can do a frozen buttercream transfer (FBCT) of a fox also, you will see a few cakes with this technique.

ok so i just looked and there isnt as much as i thought there would be. If you give me some ideas as to how experienced you are i can try to help you out.

How about getting a template of a fox head, place it over the cake, then carve it out. Then use a tip 233 for the fur or use a tip 16 and fill it in with stars.

I am not that experienced.....but am willing to try anything!

I am thinking about just trying to make a foxes head.....thanks for the fox head template idea ChrisJ and for the idea to use a frozen buttercream transfer Debbie!

Guess the time has come to just go and have a play!!!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for all your help icon_biggrin.gif I have posted a photo of the fox cake in the "theme cakes/animals" gallery. My nephew loved his cake and named the fox "Stag"! (the mind of a four year old!!) although that didn't stop him from eating it too!!!! thumbs_up.gif
