I am looking for a rirm cake recipe for 3d cakes and I saw one in the recipe section which has sour cream but I am looking for a recipe without sour cream. can anyone help?

I use mixes. I just add 1 box of pudding, replace the water with milk, and add an extra egg. works fine for me. I've used it in the Wilton lamb & bear pans with no problems. But I don't have a scratch recipe if that's what you were looking for.

I use that recipe you are talking about with the sour cream, except I leave the sour cream out and add 1/4 cup of water. I tried it one time when I had no sour cream on hand and it worked out great, so this is what I use all the time!

I was making chocolate box cake last night and realize on the side panel it said how to make chocolate pound cake (basically just add pudding mix)! Didn't realize how easy that was!
