I'm doing a farm themed cake to have ready by Friday evening. I'm making a barn out of gumpaste. . .Here's my plans: Roll out kind of thick so it doesn't kaput on me. . .Cut each of the 4 sides and the roof out seperately, make all the little window and door trim goodies. . . My dilemma is what would you put it all together with? Gum glue, RI???? Also should I make little brown roof tile strips or make a flat roof and use a tip to ice w/ BC? TIA

I would use RI to attach them together.

When I made my barnyard cake. I modeled the barn from rice krispie treats and covered it with fondant. I'd be too scared that just the gumpaste might cave in. I think you could use either gum glue or royal icing. I think the RI would dry faster. I think I would also put the tiles on the roof.
