Hello all! Is it possible to make RI without meringue powder or egg whites? I'm making a 1st birthday cake for a baby who's allergic to milk. I was just going to make RI to decorate the butterflies, when I saw that the Wilton meringue powder has a milk product in it. DD is already in bed, so I can't go to the store tonight to buy powered egg whites. I was hoping to do them tonight, but I can always go to the store tomorrow if I have to.

Thanks!

Look for alimonkey's post for eggless RI:

Excellent! I actually have some EnerG here, and I didn't even think of it! It's one of those things that sits in the back of my cupboard and doesn't make it out very often, so I completely forgot about it.

Thanks so much, now I don't have to go to the store. I hate the store! icon_smile.gif

Please let us know if it worked. I have had requests before for an egg-white free RI, and I didn't think it could be done.
