Help With Mmf! Refridgerate On Cake Yes Or No?

I have a wedding cake that has a cheese cake as filling in the bottem layer. I need to put the fondant ribbon and bow on but I don't know how this will hold up in the fridge. I NEED ADVISE QUICK.
I have refrigerated my mmf without problems, maybe some others have more to say but it has worked for me
