I Finally Did It!! (Fair Results!)

Ok so I've been doing cakes for about 18 months now and have entered cakes a total of 3 times. I did the one fair two years in a row. Well I tried out a newer/bigger fair this year just for kicks. Below are my entries and winnings. The bottom one is the fair I did two years in a row and lost to the same woman each time...well not lost but she's taken best in show every year. I got second and judge's delight (whatever that means). The other two I had tons of help with from my CC friends. I hadn't intended to enter these, they were just something I wanted to try and they turned out pretty good so I though what the heck! I want to thank Jennifer (aka Whyteicing) for all her help with the "faux swag" wedding cake. I didn't do it justice though...mine looks like a drunken monkey got loose with icing but that's because DH wanted to help and he scored the fondant so hard that I HAD to use his guides 
The colors faded a bit in the weather but it was all lavender on white. That cake took best in show and first premium. Thanks also goes out to Karateka for the help with the tiffany style lamp. She gave me tons of pointers on this one! It recieved Grand Champion and first premium. Thanks to everyone else here on CC for being who you are. You guys drive me to push myself everyday and are great teachers,mentors, and friends! 
P.S. I had a little trouble adding the fair theme pic because I did it in publisher as a collage. Hope it turns out OK. It's got animals and food items all around it. I've also posted them in my pics without all the background garbage but unfortunately without the ribbons too since they are still on display.
