I am making a Baseball stadium cake for a Bridal shower. They want a Bride and groom standing on the pitchers mound. I don't want it to look all funky and big. I was thinking about trying to make this, but I an nervous I have made one other figure (see my pictures) and it wasn't that great. What should I do??

I just made my first bride and groom...it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I used just gumpaste, but I would try with either modeling chocolate or a fondant / gumpaste mix...just experiment and see what works for you...I used my veiner tool to make the face imprints. The other thing that works well for faces is if you have a barbie doll or some other small doll like that...take gumpaste and smash the head into the gumpaste...let it dry and now you have a mold for a face! That works too! Good luck

I would scan through the gallery for gumpaste/marizpan photos and find some good examples of the type of figures you need and pm that member. There is a lady who makes great figures--I don't remember her user name, something like Aine??--but she is in Scotland, so i don't know if she could help you today

How long does the face mold need to dry?
