Do you always use an even or odd number pan size together. Example 4", 6", 8" or 5", 7", 9". Or do you mix and match?

It just depends....like how sometimes there's a square base, but a round top.

There is no hard and fast rule- it's a creative thing so do whatever gives you the look you want!

On Earlene's website she has a cake serving chart and it says what size cakes to use if you are doing tiers. I know you don't have to use it but I like it. Here is the link:

I like to use a 4in difference but a 2-3 in difference also has it's place and usefullness,

i always use the same difference all the way up.. if the bottom two are 2 inches in difference then so should the rest of the layers (be 2 inches in difference). just more consistent look. However, with that said... stack your pans, eyeball it and see what looks best!
