How do I go about frosting petit fours. I'm not even sure what frosting I should use. I typed petit fours in the recipe search engine and came up with nothing. Pleeeease I hope someone in the CC family can help. Any suggestions, tips, recipe would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've never made them, but I'm wondering if a poured icing recipe would be best. It would get you a smooth look at any rate. Good luck!

Thanks for your reply. I agree a poured icing would work best, I'm just not sure which kind to use. Thanks again. icon_smile.gif

I have never made them either but think I am going to try soon. I know alot of people use poured fondant or melted candy melts. I have also seen them covered with mmf. There are some great discussions about them in the forums if you do a search. Good Luck!

Hi icon_smile.gif

I read somewhere that some people use the Chocolate melts. Put the Petit Four on a rack with a pan underneath, heat the chocolate and spoon it over starting with the center and then the sides... Others use fondant glaze... Here is a link for that...

Hope this helps, and Good luck!
