I am soo happy to find out that my cousin is having her first baby!!!!!!
I would love to make her a baby shower cake BUT I dont know who is hosting this special occasion?????? The thing is some of my family has not talked to me for almost two years and the last time I tried to help with a special occasion it didnt go well
Let me just say there is a lot of jealousy and resentment going on and too many can not Evan get along!!!
My cousin and I have not spoken for along time because my aunt does not like me or is mad I can never tell and when that happened she gets mad when other family members talk to me YES I know very 6th grade attitude !!!
But I dont think my cousin is sour with me for any reason but who knows
My Mom has not herd from this cousin for the same amount of time and she called my mom to invite us .
SO I am very happy for my cousin and I want to show I care for her and wish her the best I am just afraid to get people mad if I bring a cake .

Please give me some input on this one It can be tricky when I t comes to family
It shouldnt be but it is ..

I know what you mean about family. icon_rolleyes.gificon_lol.gif Mine's the same way. What if you called your cousin to congratulate her and maybe see how she reacts to you. Then if you feel comfortable, ask her if you can do her cake.

It would be generous on your part, to let the hostess know that you make cakes, and would be happy to provide one for the shower..

This way, you offered - it's up to the hostess to decide.

However, I think it would certainly be fine if you made a cookie bouquet for the guest of honor decorated in a baby shower theme.

Obviously, you wouldn't have to get anyone's permission to do this.
