Red Icing

How do I get red red icing. I have tried and tried. Help me please!

Use ALOT of "no taste" red. I don't know if there is an americolor version. With the wilton I have used a whole container of red with one batch (about 4 cups) of icing before.

Do you have pink coloring? Get your icing as pink as you possibly can. Once you have a really dark pink add the red. That always works for me.
the pink doesn't have the bitter flavor that the red coloring does, so your icing won't be bitter.
