I need help!! I want to fill in an outline smooth.

For example. I have a pumpkin outlined in black and I want to fill the pumpkin with orange....make sense??

The only way I know how to fill an outline is to use stars or some other tip but I want it smooth. I have read the cornstarch will make it smoother and I don't want to use fondant. Can anyone help. Should I use the VIVA paper towel method for that as well, I use it to smooth the cake so I guess it would work, but I am thinking there has to be another way.

Thanks in advance!

I would use both of the method you mentioned unless you want to use piping jel. LOL

I would recommend color flow. Its really nice and smooth. You don't do it directly on the cake as far as I know though. Maybe Antoinas or Toba Garrets (hers might be a little softer) cookie icing sort of like doing a big cookie,to get the smooth affect. icon_smile.gif
