Ok CCers I need some ideas for a cake competition this weekend. The theme is "bake, rattle & Roll" I am not liking this theme so any help would be greatly appreciated!! I was thinking a whimsical cake would be cool - but I am at a loss for decorations. 
I can use MMF, Gumpaste, or royal icing??? Please help!!

Wow, that is a tough title. Maybe three levels of whimsical/topsy turvy - baking oriented on one (pans, cutters, cookies, cakes); baby rattle/shower items on another; and tires, steering wheels, etc. on the other...??? All with very different color schemes...???
I immediately thought of adven68's 50's cake with a whimsical twist. Maybe some of the pics on it could be the 50' s style kitchenaid, rolling pins, and a few labels like flour,and sugar.

Hmmmm..... I first thought of a Cat theme... cat in the (chef's) hat cake topper for BAKE, little cake pans being RATTLEd around by little mice on the middle tier, and ROLLing pins, or balls of yarn ROLLing around the bottom.
Just brainstorming.
OMG those are all fantastic ideas! I love the cake by advent 68 - I had thought of a 50s theme also but was not sure if what I was thinking everyone would get - I love the cat idea - my sister actually said do something like that! Ok so I need to figure out which way I am going to move - looks like I need to incorporate baking stuff though!! Thanks so much you guys!!!
