I've been decorating for several years, and consider myself somewhat adept at most things. But for the life of me I can't get the hang of using impression mats!!!!!!

I ALWAYS seem to ruin my nice smooth icing when placing them!!!

I've tried dusting with cornstarch, I've waited till my frosting had a good crust, but somehow I just dosen't turn out like everybody elses beautiful cakes in the pictures!!

Need Help !!![/u][/i]

I still have problems! My advice is to get a good crust on the BC, dust the mat w/ powdered sugar - i find you have to do this after each impression, and then go back over the impressions with a straight edge to get good lines.
