Just Curious, What Do You Think This Would Taste Like?

I was going to make the strawberry cake recipe on here, the one that calls for strawberry gelatin and duncan hines white cake, well do you think it would taste good if I made regular buttercream but instead of using vanilla in the bc, use strawberry flavoring instead. Do you think that would be too strawberry? Do you think reg. BC would taste better?

I love anything strawberry, but this might turn out to be a little too sweet,
IMO. I think that strawberry and vanilla go well together, but cut down on the vanilla if you feel it might overwhelm the strawberry.

I would think would be too much strawberry going on. If you want to do strawberry frosting for the look, then I would just tint Pink instead. You can also just add a small amount of strawberry flavor to the frosting so that it has just a hint of strawberry. icon_cool.gif

I agree
too much of a good thing- strawberry.
I say color the bc a light shade of pink- color always makes things taste better in my opinion icon_smile.gif
