I am disappointed in the cake balls that I tried to make. They do not look professional at all. I tried using toothpicks to dip them. Problem was that the toothpicks were too hard to take out. They'd break up my balls. I tried small dowel rods sharpened at the ends. Same problem. I tried using a one slotted spoon like a pitch fork. They kept sticking to my fork. I couldn't get them off my fork. So as a last resort, I made a thingy out of florist wire. It resembles an egg dipper like for dipping Easter eggs into dye. That is what worked the best. But still wasn't great.

How do I dip cake balls so that they come out looking like a professional job?

TIA

I don't dip my cake balls because I get crumbs in the chocolate coating. I prefer to fill a bottle with a spout on it and pour the chocolate over the balls. I know everyone has their own method for doing these, but this has helped me a lot.
