When doing the baby einstein caterpillar cake do I ned to put each circle on its own cardboard? Also is white margarine the same as white vegetable shorting, or is it the same as sweet ex or is it its own fat?

Which recipe is better for decorating the caterpillar? The wilton recipe or

1 pound white margarine
1 pound of sweet ex
2 pounds powared sugar
1 teaspoon clear vanilla
1 teaspoon butter flavor
1/2 cup of water or milk or evop milk

I guess what I was wondering is can I use the wilton icing recipe however; use margine instead of white veg shorting? (is veg shorting crisco?)

Thank you in advance

veg. shortening is crisco.......margarine can be substituted for butter but not for shortening! Yes you can use the wilton recipe to decorate the caterpillar...HTH
