Does anyone have an extender recipe for the golden butter cake mix? I was going to do my usual extender, but I think I read somewhere that the recipe is sensitive to alterations. Could anyone share some recipes with me?

Thanks

I had never heard that, I always just added an extra egg and pudding mix, but my last tasting they said it had an aftertaste. So maybe I'm doing something wrong. I'll keep an eye out here and hope you get us an answer.

there is a recipe on here people talk about that adds a package of cream cheese to a golden butter cake and it is SOO GOOD! I wish I had the recipe on me but its on my home laptop....I know it calls for an extra egg and 1/2c sugar as well. that would extend the batter some, but not as much as the usual extender recipe

Is this the recipe you're looking for? It came from this thread

http://forum.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=180681&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=strawberry&&start=15

1 pkg. butter cake mix
1pkg. 8 oz. softened cream cheese
4 large eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 t. almond flav.
2/3 c. strawberry filling ( I buy mine in the sleeve)
mix all of the above ingredients, except the strawberry filling, one minute on low, then 3 min on medium, and pour into pan. Then dollop the strawberry filling randomly on the cake and swirl with a knife, don't put too much on, so you can see white cake and strawberry definition. It depends on the cake size how much you will need, for a 12" cake, I used about a 2/3 cup.

Thank you!! Where do you buy the sleeves from? Michaels? I've read a lot about them but I've never seen them anywhere. The recipe sounds really yummy.
