Okay I need a cake to feed about 30 people - this is the "idea" I'm going to try to replicate (somewhat - of course there will be changes!). What do you think I should use for the birthday number at top? And they want it to have "Happy Birthday _____" somewhere on it - where should I put that?

Also, b/c it's only supposed to feed 30, I was thinking an 8 in and a 6 in - but I'm not sure if I shouldn't try to go bigger than that b/c I'm going off the wilton wedding cake chart and I'm sure they'll cut the pieces bigger.

What do you all think??

I would say since they're party servings you may want to go 10/8 or 10/6- don't want to run out!

I did a 4 layer 10" for a birthday party and it easily fed 30 people with very little cake left over which is what the hostess wanted. I used 2 mixes to make 2 layers than torted and filled both layers for a total of 4 layers (3 were filled.) It was the perfect size.
