Any suggestions on the best look for "grass"?

I've made it before with buttercream and also with fondant (by cutting tiny strips).

Any suggestions on the most realistic way?

I have a clay gun (the cheaper one). Or should I try with RI?

Thanks! icon_smile.gif

Thanks! icon_smile.gif This is my second post this morning...thank you for responding!

I think I'll stick to the BC tip. I think the fondant might take too long, plus I haven't tried my clay gun yet.

I use the grass tip also and I think it works well. I add a little piping gel to my icing when I make grass - seems to help it pipe a little smoother.
