How Much Would You Charge For This Cake?

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what they would charge for this cake? I have been decorating cakes for quite a while now, but have just recently started getting paying customers. I have no idea what to charge them and I always think I am charging to much. I sold this cake for $20.00 and the customer acted like that was to much. It was a 1/2 sheet cake torted and filled with buttercream. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Are you insane!!!!! First of all, you should charge what YOU think your time and talents are worth! I charge $20.00 for a small 6" round with CBC and fondant accents, so you should have definately charged more. Especially if you piped all of that on by hand!! I'm sure that took a long time. I would have charged about $35-$40 for that, at least!!
I agree.. I know it's hard starting out trying to feel confident in the setting prices.. but you don't want to take a loss. I would also say around $35-40 for this cake. If the customer seems shocked that $20 is too high.. you don't want them as customers!!
